SA Branch Committee Update

The SA Branch Committee met over breakfast to discuss and plan futu

re education session and social events for SA HIMAA Members.

The main topics discussed were how the committee could influence and promote the Health Information Management / Clinical Coding industry in South Australia with possible collaboration with Tasmania.

A survey was developed and distributed to all members to identify the types of sessions and events that the members preferred. Once the responses are collated events will be organised. Members were prompted with suggestions such as:

Virtual Drinks with Education Agenda
Virtual Education including SA Country Health
Demonstrations of innovative software
Virtual Quiz night
Face to Face education based on nominated topics

Responses so far have been supportive with some great ideas; the survey is still open, closing on 23/6/2023.

A Christmas in July social dinner is planned for late July, which is aimed to get members together and start networking again – the theme is “getting back to normal after COVID”.
