Introducing the HIMAA Research Advisory Committee

The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) is focused on promoting a more inclusive and extensive research culture throughout the profession. This involves raising the levels of research awareness, support and capacity across the membership.

The RAC’s overarching aim is to build a more substantive, evidence-supported knowledge base to underpin all domains of the profession’s practice. This can only be achieved through properly designed and conducted research, the results of which are disseminated to the whole profession and the world at large via publications in journals such as the HIMAA-owned, peer-reviewed Health Information Management Journal, peer-reviewed conference papers and, for some research reports, the editor-reviewed HIM-Interchange.

Further information about the RAC and its membership can be found at https://himaa.org.au/committees/research-advisory-committee/.
