The HIMAA Queensland Branch held a social event at The Black Market Albion on Friday 10 September 2021. We were treated to a night of Italian and Mexican food trucks, drinks and live music, with more than 40 people in attendance. It was exciting to see that more than half of those attending were current HIM students. Overall the night was a success, being able to chat to current students and learn about their experiences in the workplace so far, and catching up with our professional colleagues without a work agenda.
It was a reminder of how lucky we are in Queensland to be able to come together and network in person while NSW and Victoria are in lockdown. A big thanks especially goes to HIMAAQ Committee member, Tammy Kang, for taking the lead and organising this successful event!
Our next networking event will be held on Friday 19 November 2021. Join us at Persone Italian Restaurant for a beautiful three course dinner with great company. Places are limited so secure your registration on the HIMAA events webpage.
We are also planning our Christmas function for Friday 3 December 2021 so save the date in your calendar. More details will be coming soon.
The HIMAA Queensland Branch is starting to organise its calendar of events for 2022. If you have any suggestions for topics you would like to learn about please get in touch at qldbranch@himaa.org.au We would love to hear from you.
