HIMAA is a not-for-profit incorporated Association, and Registered Training Organisation, providing high quality support and services to the health information management profession throughout Australia and internationally.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Health Information Manager who is enthusiastic and committed to the health information management profession to join the HIMAA team. This is a new opportunity to provide health information management advice and expertise to advance HIMAA’s strategic initiatives, with a predominant focus on HIMAA’s products, services, and voice, for Health Information Managers.
Key responsibilities for the role include developing and implementing strategic initiatives, providing informed advice and recommendations on emerging issues and risks, providing knowledge and expertise to increase the relevance of HIMAA products and services, developing business proposals, managing and undertaking projects, improving HIMAA’s presence, position, relevance and voice within industry related to the health information management profession, managing stakeholder and partner relations, and ensuring high levels of member engagement and satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have appropriate skills in advocacy and stakeholder engagement, with at least 10 years’ experience working as a Health Information Manager in multiple contexts and a demonstrated commitment to their professional currency and development. Competent in influencing and relationship building, experience in developing business proposals and business cases, and high levels of professionalism, judgement, sensitivity and self-awareness are some of the essential criteria to meet the outcomes required of the role.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with skills and experience. This role is advertised as 0.8 FTE (4-day per week), with hybrid working arrangement.
