Did you know you are eligible to apply for post-nominal certification if you have:

  1. completed an accredited degree, or
  2. completed a course in one of our approved programs, or
  3. have relevant industry experience, are actively involved at board or committee level, and are undertaking professional development activities.

This scheme has been available to members since 2007. It is HIMAA’s certification of professional standing and offers HIMAA members the following benefits:

  • Demonstration of commitment to professional currency to peers
  • Quality assurance of continuing professional development and quality improvement to employers
  • Post-nominal privileges of CHIM (Certified Health Information Manager) and CHIP (Certified Health Information Practitioner).
