It is seeking expressions of interest (EoI) from eligible HIMAA members to join the new Clinical Documentation Integrity (Competency Standards) Working Group (CDIWG).

The CDIWG’s purpose is to develop, disseminate and advise on contemporary Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Competency Standards for Health Information Managers (HIMs) as clinical documentation experts, Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (CDISs) and other groups within the HIMAA membership. The second stage will involve the development of Intermediate- and Advanced-level CDI competency standards for inclusion in the HIM Competency Standards matrix. The third stage will involve development of CDI competency or performance standards for specialised groups within the HIMAA membership, including Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (CDISs), Clinical Coders and others.
